The retention lock is the tamper-proof window: for that many days, every backup version is physically undeletable — by anyone, including us.

Backups never stop when a package fills — you're covered first, billed fairly after. Optional auto-upgrade moves you to the next package instead of accruing overage.
Why deleted data bills until its lock expires
Storage is tamper-proof for the full retention window — including from us. That also means deleted data physically leaves storage only after the window expires; our prices include that. It is the same lock that stops ransomware from destroying your history: we cannot make an exception for billing without making one for attackers.
Trial and terms
- Free trial: 5 devices, up to100 GB. No card required to start.
- A seat is one enrolled device. Replacing a machine does not double-bill — a ≤ 14-day overlap during replacement counts as one seat.
- Restores are free. No per-restore fees; we never charge for bandwidth or for recovering your data.
- Payment by SEPA or card; annual pay-by-invoice available.
- On cancellation, stored data remains tamper-proof until your retention window ends and is billed at the storage rate until released.
